Janice C. Nigro, Esq.

Attorney Janice Nigro will co-chair an educational seminar for attorneys on the topic of partition proceedings on March 2, 2010. The seminar will take place at the Mass Bar Associationâ??s Headquarters located at 20 West St., Boston, MA.

Eugene A. Nigro, Esq.

In June of 2009, the Essex County Bar Association recognized Attorney Eugene A. Nigro, of the law firm of Nigro, Pettepit & Lucas, LLP of Wakefield and Newburyport, Massachusetts, for his pro-bono conciliation work on behalf of clients throughout Essex County.  Attorney Nigro received the Pro Bono Justicia Award from Attorney Donald R. Bumiller, President of the Essex County Bar Association during the organization's Annual Dinner.  This is the first time the unique award has been presented by the Association.

Attorney Nigro has been providing conciliation services since the mid-1980s to individuals and others requiring legal mediation.  As a result of his efforts, the Essex County Bar Association now offers a conciliation-training program for the other practicing attorneys, with Attorney Nigro serving as the lead trainer.  The Massachusetts Bar Association is also instituting the program.

The Massachusetts Bar Association has appointed Attorney Janice C. Nigro as Co-chair of the Probate Law Section Council for the 2009-2010 Bar Year.

Stephen D. Fried, Esq.

In September and October of 2009, Attorney Fried chaired and lectured at three seminars on the subject of Contempts and Modifications for the Mass Continuing Legal Education and will be lecturing in February, 2010 in Burlington, MA on the topic “Recent Trends in Alimony”.

Boston Magazine selected Attorney Stephen D. Fried as a New England Super Lawyer for 2008.

David R. Lucas, Esq.

David R. Lucas, a life-long resident of Melrose, is running for State Representative of the 32nd Middlesex District in Massachusetts, serving Melrose and Wakefield, in November, 2010.
